About the Company

Can you help Hertfordshire care homes? Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) are looking for very experienced Care home Managers, or nurses who have management experience within a care home to be on our bank of staff to support care homes in emergency COVID related situations.

This could involve providing emergency support in COVID positive homes. A care setting could require one shift or up to two weeks of support to ensure the residents receive the highest quality of care possible and to ensure everything continues to run smoothly.

Many care providers currently need some extra help, whether this is by hiring temporary Care Assistants when staff are off work isolating or by hiring volunteers. Sometimes the management is also required to isolate, and this is where your help is needed to step in.

Shifts: Day, night or both. You will likely be with one provider for up to 2 weeks at a time.

What does this Peripatetic Care Manager job involve?

·        Provide overall leadership of the care home.

·        Work with a staff teams which could be agency staff, permanent staff or a mixture of both.

·        Take responsibility for ensuring safe staffing levels and liaise with agencies and outside organisations where required to meet this requirement.

·        Supervise staff to deliver a high standard of care and support to clients including delivery of care and support.

·        Ensure all statutory, regulatory and legal requirements are met.

·        Report back to Director, Management, HCPA and Hertfordshire County Council incident teams where required.

·        Have a Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

·        Have a full UK driving license and access to a car.
