About the Company

Cornerstone House is a 32-bed locked unit working with adults with varying mental health conditions, predominantly Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorders and Psychotic Illnesses. 

We work in the least restrictive way and collaborate closely with the individual, their carers, and other professionals to offer tailored support designed to help our patients reach their potential and transition onto the next stage of the recovery journey.

What does this Support Worker job involve?

    The role of a Mental Health Support Worker is a varied one, and no two days are the same! The main duties you may undertake include the following:

 

  • Assist the nursing team with the assessment of the effectiveness of care implementation and delivery
  • Record relevant activities in Care Plans
  • To work with the clinical team to ensure the wellbeing and safety of patients and colleagues at all time
  • Supervise and encourage interaction with patients in communal areas and garden 
  • To Interact in a positive and natural manner with all patients
  • Participate in the maintenance of a clean, tidy and safe environment

Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?

 

We are looking for people who are passionate about mental health. Our Support Workers are dynamic, adaptable, and always work with a helpful and positive attitude. Must be local to Borehamwood or otherwise willing to commute.

Previous experience as a support worker is ideal, as is experience with and knowledge of mental health. Full training is provided.

A full clean driving licence is a plus but is not a requirement.
