At Hands On Day Centre we support individuals 16+ who have a learning disability in a day centre setting. We support our individuals who attend to engage in a variety of activities to ensure that they receive appropriate support whilst having fun and mainting relationships.

  • Promote independence and life skills in line with individual care plans, encouraging informed choices and personal development.
  • Transport Service Users safely to and from the centre and community activities.
  • Support daily living activities, including meal preparation, eating, drinking, and personal care needs.
  • Facilitate engagement in activities both within the centre and in the wider community to enhance inclusion and well-being.
  • Foster positive communication and relationships with Service Users and colleagues, adapting to individual communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, including care plans, daily diaries, and incident reports, while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Contribute to safeguarding practices by adhering to Protection of Vulnerable Adults legislation and promoting a safe environment.
  • Participate in training and meetings to improve care delivery and support innovative approaches to service provision.
