As a Care Assistant, your day-to-day duties will focus on:
- Supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort and independence.
- Providing personal care such as washing, dressing and assisting with meals.
- Offering companionship and emotional support.
- Helping residents to engage in activities and maintain their independence where possible.
- Ensuring their safety through safeguarding practices.
Clear communication with residents, colleagues, and families is essential, as is keeping accurate records and following care plans. No two days are the same – one day you may be helping with personal care, the next enjoying a chat, walk, or activity with residents. Full training is provided, so you don’t need previous experience, just kindness, patience and a willingness to learn.
