As a Night Care Assistant, your role is to:
- Ensure our residents are safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night.
- Carry out regular wellbeing checks, support residents with personal care needs, and respond promptly to call bells or emergencies.
- Help residents who may be restless or anxious at night, preparing simple drinks or snacks if required, and ensuring care plans are followed.
- Record observations clearly.
- Hand over important information to the day team.
- Help keep the home clean, tidy, and ready for the morning.
Compassion, patience, and attentiveness are key, as you will often be the reassuring presence residents rely on during the quieter hours. Training is provided, so experience is helpful but not essential – what matters most is your commitment to caring for others.
