Day-to-day duties include:
- Assisting with personal care
- Administering medication
- Assisting with meal times
- Teaching daily living skills
- Ensuring emotional wellbeing
- Attending community activities
- Promoting independence and safety
- Completing care notes and following care plans
- Communicating with families and professionals
- Uphold safeguarding, dignity and high-quality standards to improve each person’s wellbeing and outcomes
- Relevant work experience in a support worker or care worker role is desirable however full training is provided
- A genuine passion for care
- A strong team player
- Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support when needed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy
- NVQ 1/2 Health and Social Care Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not required.
