What does this Care Assistant job involve?

 

  • Support individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, dressing, bathing, toileting, and morning/evening routines.

  • Assist with mobility needs, physical disabilities, and the safe use of aids and personal equipment.

  • Maintain comfort and hygiene through tasks like bed-making, light cleaning, laundry, and other domestic support.

  • Prepare meals and drinks, and provide assistance with eating and drinking when required.

  • Follow and contribute to personalised care plans, including specialised support (e.g., dementia, re?ablement, continence, temporary illness, and end?of?life care).

  • Support safe medication routines as outlined in individual care plans.

  • Promote wellbeing and independence through conversation, activities, community engagement, and encouragement of self?care.

  • Maintain accurate records, attend meetings and training, follow organisational policies, and report any significant changes in a service user’s health or circumstances.
