What does this Care Assistant job involve?

 

  • Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Support safe mobility, including walking assistance and transfers (with training provided)

  • Assist with preparing meals and offering help with eating when needed

  • Prompt or administer medication once trained and authorised

  • Monitor and record any changes in a person’s health or wellbeing

  • Help individuals stay independent through daily living support in their home or care setting

  • Carry out light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping

  • Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community outings

  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement with hobbies or social interaction

  • Provide person?centred care to individuals with mental health needs, dementia, or disabilities
