We have recently sourced a new package of care for a young lady requiring 24-hour support within her own home hence the reason for staff to cover the package. A dedicated care team will be assigned to ensure continuity, build trust, and provide stability. Staff allocated to this package will receive specialist training relevant to her specific needs, ensuring competence and confidence in delivering complex or bespoke care requirements.
Regular reviews will be conducted to ensure the support remains responsive and aligned with her evolving needs and preferences.
Working on this 24-hour care package means providing dedicated, two-to-one support to a young lady in her own home. Every day will involve supporting her to live as independently, safely, and comfortably as possible while showing kindness, patience, and professionalism.
Day to day duties include:
- Supporting with personal care - including, washing, bathing, and showering, dressing and grooming, prompting oral hygiene while maintaining privacy and dignity at all times, respectively and according to the agreed care plan.
- Companionship - Client enjoys talking and likes to spend quality time talking to carers. Encourage hobbies and interests, provide reassurance and emotional support to help reduce feelings of loneliness or anxiety. Support community access where appropriate. Building trust and a positive professional relationship is a key part of the role.
- Daily Living Support - You may assist with preparing meals and drinks, supporting with medication, light household tasks related to care, supporting routines and structure and encouraging independence wherever possible
- Following Care Plans - Client has a detailed care plan. Follow clear guidance on how care should be delivered. Carry out risk assessments continuously. Record care provided accurately. Report any changes in health or behaviour. Attend handovers and team updates.
- Safeguarding & Safety - Keeping the individual safe is a top priority. Follow safeguarding procedures. Maintain professional boundaries. Promote a safe home environment. Act promptly if you have concerns.
- Communication & Teamwork - You will provide two-to-one care so you are never alone. You will communicate with family members professionally, work alongside healthcare professionals where required, Keep clear and accurate records, report concerns to management and participation in supervision and training.

- Experience in mental health support is highly desirable, as you will be supporting emotional wellbeing alongside practical care needs. However, additional specialist training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and competent in the role.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as the role may involve supporting with appointments, community access, and social activities.
Operationally, applicants must be:
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Able to work flexible shifts (including nights/weekends if required)
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistency of care
- Able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written)
- Willing to complete mandatory training and ongoing professional development
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential; however, experience in mental health is advantageous. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. What matters most is your attitude, energy, and commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
