  • Provide day-to-day, person-centred support tailored to individual needs
  • Support with daily living skills, personal care, meals, and activities
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and structured routines consistently
  • Use agreed communication strategies to support understanding and reduce behaviours of concern.
  • Maintain a calm, patient, and consistent approach during times of distress
  • Support individuals to access the community and develop independence
  • Record daily notes, incidents, and observations accurately
  • Work as part of a team to ensure safe, high-quality care
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly

 

Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?

 

  • A full UK driving licence desirable but not essential. 
  • Able to provide some 24 hour care on a rota basis.
  • Care Certificate, Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards
  • Experience supporting people with:

            -  Autism

            - Learning disabilities

            - Complex or behaviours that challenge

  • Ability to follow PBS plans, structured routines, and communication approaches
  • Calm, consistent approach to help reduce anxiety and prevent escalation
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and duty of care
