Aurora Quality Care is a domiciliary care company providing high-quality care and support across Hertfordshire and North London. Our aim is to support individuals to live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Relief Live-in Carer to provide cover when the main carer is on leave, ensuring continuity of care and support for our clients.

• Our aim is to help clients to live independently in their homes while being valued, respected, and rewarded for our dedication and compassionate care.
• Live-in care placements can vary in duration but are a minimum of 1 week.
• You will have your own separate room and a personal fridge/freezer and microwave.
• We provide food allowance for each week worked.
• Free mandatory training, PPE and ongoing support.

• Support with personal care, (washing, bathing, oral health, dressing and grooming)
• Light domestic tasks, e.g. hoovering, cleaning etc
• Meal preparation
• Fluid and nutrition care 
• Medication Management in accordance with care plans.
•  Companionship and  social interaction.
• Escorting to social clubs and medical appointment.
• Record keeping
• Follow care plans

We are looking for a flexible Live-In Care Assistant with a calm and friendly caring approach. 

Requirements:

• Prior experience working as a live in carer preferable but not essential.
• Ideally have a Care certificate or equivalent level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• DBS Enhanced Disclosure registered on the updated service (preferable).
• Right to work in the UK (essential)
• Basic IT skills (essential)
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Patient, respectful and understanding.
• Reliable and flexible with a professional attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• An understanding of the needs of elderly individuals, people with Dementia
• Well organised and able to meet deadlines and targets.
• Ability to help with grocery shopping and meal preparation based on clients' preferences and needs as well as keeping up with food hygiene standards.
• The ability to maintain meticulous records and documentation
