What does this Live-In Carer job involve?

 

  • Personal Care – Support our service users with their care needs in line with their individual care plans.
  • Companionship – Build professional relationships with service users, assisting with their emotional, social and spiritual needs whilst encouraging independence and choice.
  • Daily Living – Supporting the service users with going about their daily life, from support with medication, or preparing meals, to helping keep well.

 

Am I the right person for this Live-In Carer job?

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Previous care experience (domiciliary care, support work, or live-in care preferred)

  • Good level of spoken and written English

  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature

  • Ability to support with personal care and daily living tasks

  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

  • Willingness to live in the client’s home during the placement

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Desirable Requirements:

 

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care

  • Experience supporting people with mental health needs or elderly clients

  • Medication administration training

  • Manual handling training

  • First aid training
