An exciting opportunity has arisen within Herts at Home as we expand our community team in North Hertfordshire. We are now recruiting two new Care Team Managers to help lead and support our dedicated care professionals in delivering exceptional service across the region.

What does this Care Team Manager job involve?

 

  • Lead, supervise, and support care teams, fostering a positive, inclusive, person?centred culture. 
  • Oversee day-to-day operational management to meet quality, performance, and capacity targets. 
  • Recruit, induct, and retain staff, ensuring effective onboarding, supervision, and ongoing development.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care in line with internal standards and CQC requirements.
  • Hold regular team meetings, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated and responsive care.
  • Identify training needs and promote continuous professional development across the team.
  • Manage budgets, staffing costs, and resources responsibly to support high?quality service delivery. 
  • Handle complaints, concerns, safeguarding matters, and HR processes such as investigations and disciplinaries.
  • Lead audits, maintain regulatory compliance, and review KPIs to monitor and improve service performance.

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and committed to achieving Level 5.
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance. 
  • Competent in written and spoken English, with solid IT skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Access to a car and a clean driving licence to support travel across the service.
