What does this Registered Manager job involve?

 

We are an independent and unique provider with a flexible and responsive model that works closely with individuals, their family, friends and other professionals. Our clients are both private and public sector including Local Authorities, NHS, Mental Health Services, Private Clients, Direct Payments Service Users and Individual Set Budget users.

 

Registered Manager – Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that the service adheres to all CQC regulations and fundamental standards. This includes the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and related regulations. 
  • Managing Day-to-Day Operations: Overseeing the daily activities of the service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This may include coordinating care, managing resources, and handling any issues that arise whilst ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Leading and Managing Staff: Responsibility for managing and supporting the care team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management. Lead, motivate, develop and mentor team of junior management and support workers
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the service provides high-quality, person-centred care that meets the needs of each individual. This involves implementing quality assurance processes and monitoring the effectiveness of care. 
  • Safeguarding and Risk Management: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, protecting the rights and well-being of those in our care. Implementing and maintain safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable individuals from harm. A need to identify and manage risks within the service. 
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for the service, communicating with the CQC, service users, their families, and other stakeholders. Building a strong relationship with families, carers and professionals
  • Resource Management: Responsible for managing resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, and equipment. 
  • Service Development: Involvement in developing and improving the service, including maximizing referral and marketing opportunities. 
  • Accountability and Governance: Accountable for the service's performance and must establish robust systems for governance and accountability.

The successful candidate will be:

 

  • A compassionate and experienced Registered Manager or deputy manager who is passionate about the sector, is analytical and follows the company vision to deliver excellent quality care.
  • You will demonstrate strong leadership and guidance to the team building a collaborative culture ensuring staff have the skills and drive to enhance service delivery.
  • Knowledge of CQC standards, regulations and inspections is essential.
  • A full UK driving licence holder with access to a vehicle.
  • Desirable for role – CQC registered, knowledge of supported living service provision and willingness to work towards becoming an Ofsted registered manager
