The Field Care Supervisor (FCS) reports directly to the Registered Manager and is instrumental in upholding the highest standards of care. This role involves providing guidance and support to Care Assistants, ensuring exceptional service delivery to customers in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and best practices.

Field Care Supervisors should spend approximately 95% of their working week in the field with the remaining 5% being spent in the office in order to complete the necessary administrative duties.

Principal Responsibilities of the Field Care Supervisor:

• Serve as the main point of contact for Care Assistants and Customers, providing day-to-day support through visits, calls, and internal communications.
• Conduct introductory visits when a Care Assistant is assigned to a customer for the first time.
• Supervise and support Care Assistants, including practical inductions, shadowing, and identifying training needs.
• Develop, review, and tailor Care Plans and Risk Assessments to meet individual customer needs.
• Monitor and review Care Assistants’ visit notes and customer satisfaction, recommending improvements where needed.
• Conduct regular customer Service Reviews and respond to feedback from Care Assistants.
• Ensure all customer documentation is accurate and up to date, both in homes and internal systems.
• Collaborate with Care Coordinators on staffing, scheduling, and coverage for sickness or holidays, including participation in on-call duties.

• Minimum of 2 years as a Care Assistant or experience in a similar role.
