Home Instead is an American owned company with offices throughout the USA, Europe and has 225+ offices across the UK.

 

We provide Care Professionals on a one to one basis to clients in their own homes on a minimum of 1-hour assignments, we also provide Live In Care professionals to stay with clients 24hours a day, generally on a two week on - two week off basis.

 

Being a franchise we work within a given area, we cover Hatfield, Welwyn, Borehamwood, Potters Bar and all villages in between. Candidates who live outside these locations are referred to their nearest local office.

 

One of our unique selling points is that we do not have set shifts, we work with each individual applicant and their available working hours, this means that we can generally offer most people the working hours they can manage. We are happy to consider people with Adult Care experience as well as those who are interested in a change of career, as we fully train every member of staff and are proud of our Award Winning Training.

  • We are offering rates from £12.75ph to £13.40ph.

What does this Health Care Assistant job involve?

 

As all visits are in the clients homes, duties can vary between each client, though are normally comprised of:

 

  • Personal care duties (washing & dressing)
  • Light housework (dusting & hoovering)
  • Shopping
  • Meal preparation
  • Companionship care.

 

We will also teach you all legal aspects of your duties including health and safety, safeguarding, what to do in an emergency, administrative duties. You will find that all skills taught are very transferable and will help you in your working career and family life.

Am I the right person for this Health Care Assistant job?

 

 Essential:

 

  • A valid UK driving licence to enable you to obtain Business Class 1 motor insurance, and must have own vehicle.
  • Able to work the agreed hours on alternate weekend (both Saturday and Sunday).
  • Lives locally within our franchise region - if not we refer you to nearest Home Instead office local to you.
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
