We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support the Home Manager, Deputy and Assistant Manager in all aspects of the home’s management, while supporting residents with personal care, and ensuring the training and development of staff.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the Manager, Deputy and Assistant Manager in the effective running of the home, including contingency and emergency procedures
• Lead walking handovers, ensure all residents are accounted for, and promote the company’s values of Commitment, Connection and Compassion
• Provide and oversee high?quality personal care, dignity, independence and wellbeing, reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional health
• Support residents’ social, emotional and cultural needs, contributing to activities and working closely with the Engagement Lead
• Use and monitor the Mobile Care Monitoring (MCM) system, ensuring accurate documentation, care plans, records and regulatory requirements (including CQC) are met
• Assist with staff development, training, supervision and promoting adherence to company policies, Quality Management Systems and safeguarding procedures
• Liaise with external professionals, implement required actions, and support with skin integrity monitoring, referrals and health?related documentation
• Assist with mealtimes, dietary monitoring, menu knowledge and ensuring nutritional records (including weight charts) are completed and reviewed
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, including basic housekeeping tasks and ensuring residents’ clothing and personal items are cared for
• Administer, record and store medication safely; welcome visitors; support admissions; attend meetings, training, supervisions and appraisals

• Minimum of NVQ 2 and/or working towards NVQ Level 3 or above.
• Ability to lead, motivate and mentor staff and to be a team player.
