What does this Team Leader job involve?

 

  • To assist the Manager, Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager in the running of the home in an efficient and caring manner in their absence.
  • Support residents with all aspects of personal care whilst maintaining and promoting independence. 
  • To assist in the supervision of staff and induction.
  • Ensure that all staff have completed the duties required of them during their shift or if this has not been possible to communicate this at handover.
  • Encourage staff members to take a personal interest in the residents and the home in order to create an atmosphere conducive to a happy caring home and lead by example.
  • Work in a direct capacity alongside the Care Management Team.
  • To review and develop all aspects of each residents care plan on the Mobile Care Monitoring System (MCM).
  • To promote and deliver personalised care & engagement throughout the day and to create and promote a calm and trusting atmosphere.
  • You will work within a team ensuring to maintain a resident’s dignity, independence and personal safety.

Essential Skills, Characteristics and Experience:

 

  • Two years experience at a Senior Care level.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
